BOOK.
When was the last time you read a good book. I always thought a good book was the one that the NY Times was advertising. The famous authors I grew up with and their books.....the John Grishams, the Sandra Browns.....love their books but until I joined Goodreads, they were the only authors I read.
Now that I have been a member of Goodreads.com for the past 7 years I am finding there are amazing authors out there who I have never heard of. Who are not on the Times list yet. There is also another place I get my reading list from - Netgalley.com where you request to read books that are not even out yet in return for a review. Sometimes they accept you and sometimes they dont but here you will get to read new books that are not even out yet and some of the authors are amazing.
I am glad there are other ways of finding books - with all the friends I have on Goodreads I get recommendations all the time. I have never been disappointed. Plus this is a great way of keeping a list of all those books you read, or to be read. Come join and be my friend so you can see all the books I think are great! I love reading, so I'm glad you've been able to find other authors that you enjoy reading. I've found some new authors to follow too.
ReplyDeleteNow that I am retired I find myself able to read whenever I want. I find it very relaxing especially since I stepped up my Avon business and am busy....
