The description of this book talks about "assumption" The dictionary says it means - a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof. And so you read about a marriage and assume it is happy...why not, Nellie and Richard are happily married - she has everything she could ever want, beautiful house, fine clothes, best of wine, cars and jewelry.
As the book continues you will not be able to put it down and find there is a thin line between assumption and reality. And what you think is happening is not really happening. And even when you realize what is going on - well, you dont see it coming....Assume nothing.
