Romance and suspense....Novak does it again. Vanessa has to get away from her abusive husband and finds a way to leave with her son, Dominick. With the help of the servants, she gets a new name, a car and some cash and is on her way. But her husband Manuel will not let them go and hence the story begins. Along with this adventure her son is also diabetic so Vanessa also has to worry about him.
She meets up with Preston along the way who has a story of his own....this hard-to-put-down book keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I am never disappointed in a Novak book....
