Karen was at it again.........

I belong to Etsy BESTeams......Love the way we feature each other's shops and am amazed at all the wonderful shops there are on Etsy.....I have put alot of them in my circle just from reading and posting features on shops.

But the last email I received from Karen (and her information is well worth the long read) because BESTeams is the best

and I am always learning something new.  I need all the help I can get because my Etsy store is, well, it's there.....I get views and I get featured.....but I am lacking in customers.  I have followed everyone's advice from buying business cards, social networking, coupon codes, discounts etc.  but still am waiting for customers.


I did get one customer who became a friend and we often email.  She comments on my blog and I recently fixed a bracelet for her. I also cant forget Cathryn whom I met through Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Party....we keep in touch also.  I also had someone give me a makeover on my store and make me a new banner.....Etsy people are the best.

But now I need some serious customers...So when I read Karen's email where she said the best way to do this was to go to Etsy Forums.....well, I will listen again and get involved in these forums....I really must do some more surfing around Etsy.....sometimes I just need a push and I thank Karen for doing that.....So I am off to the Forums ..... and we will see what happens...

The Whole Bead Show - in NY

Well, by hook or crook I will be attending the Whole Bead Show.....got my discount ticket and just making plans now for going.  I plan to buy many beads, take many pictures and just have a good time......hope to see you there.....

I have pages.......it took me two years to figure out how to do this and still not sure I am doing it right.....can anyone lend me a 5 year old?  Why do they seem to take this computer stuff in stride?

They have no fear that they are going to crash the computer I guess.  Talking about crashes....my monitor on my desktop is not working....guess it crashed.....not even sure about that.....at least I still have my laptop..


So back to my pages,  I made one for my cruise and another for a new etsy line that I am adding to my shop......soon to come, to keep an eye out on that page because you will see it here for the first time....even before it gets into my shop......

As you may have noticed, I have added tabs to my blog.

I am going on a cruise this summer and have decided to keep all blogs contained in that tab.  Not everyone is into cruises.....this is my first one, so I may blab on and on about it....But if you are interested, please click on the tab to see what's up.

Blog Anyone?

I like to blog every day....but life gets in the way...Sometimes I actually do a few blogs and date them for the days ahead....But alas I have fallen behind....so this will be short....

Just to let you know that I am busy blog hopping for Lorilee's Bead Soup Blog Party of which I became a participant for the first time this year.....I really enjoyed being creative and hope to participate in her next one...

I received such a great package from Cathryn, my Bead Soup Partner, that I dont know where to begin.  I am not only excited about this being my first time participating, but I have learned so much and next year I hope to do better.

Some of the things I learned was to label the Soup that you send to your partner....

Add a little "hello" card.......

Although I did send a "gift" to Cathryn......she sent a beautiful stash......words cant explain how beautiful...take a look...Now how did she know turquoise and black and white were my favorites...

She even included a card from the source of her beads.....nice idea....these are all going into my "Bead Book" for next year.

Cathryn is teaching me so much.

And then she wrapped them all up and placed it in a pretty blue bag.......but that was not the end of it..................she surprised me with...........

these earrings.....Thank you Cathryn..  You made me feel like a princess and I hope my creativity somehow will show my appreciation for this wonderful Bead Soup.   Now to put my thinking cap on.....

Saturday

So rain is better than snow...dont tell anyone but I think the snow is coming Tuesday.  In the meantime maybe some of this Dec and Jan snow will be washed away...I hope....maybe....probably not.  It just melts and refreezes at night.....so now we have ice in the morning.....Oh boy.

Anyway, was up early, went to nail salon and hair salon.....feeling so much better....still need a pedicure....maybe next week....going to tackle cleaning the house, then upstairs to fill some orders, take some pictures of items already done but not for sale yet......taking pictures of my Bead Soup  (yes Cathy, it will be posted soon)  so off I go and if I have time, will post again tonight...otherwise until tomorrow....have a great night in whatever you do.....

Goodnight Wednesday

So I spent all day in the house.......because......the ice hit us like a bomb...and there was no way I could walk on it.....the steps were covered and the car looked like an ice car.  So I called in, stayed in, did some beading, finally opened my package from Cathryn of some gorgeous beads and a gift she sent me.....I am besides myself with joy....cant wait to get started.

I did do some laundry, some blogging, made some valentine pendants.....and am now charging my camera in order to take pictures.  Stopped by Frugal Invitation to do some blog hopping.....and hoping to get some Likes and Follows back.

Almost finished with my book......wait for the review soon.......and I also made a pot of soup....to get me in the mood for my Bead Soup Party I guess.  I did not wash the floors but then again the snow is all over the place and people are still tracking it in........

All in all it was a good day.....hubby is still laid up a bit with than ankle he sprained from falling on the ice.....it is really bad out here but the groundhog said spring is coming early.....I hope.

Ruby Red

There is something about the color red that makes you feel alive.  Maybe that is why it is for Valentine's Day....Happiness and Lovers.....all good things.  So I dug into my bead collection to make something for Valentine's day and came up with the following bracelet.....will put more "red" items up soon.....just ordered a dozen heart keys......soon to go up for sale with a special dangle on the end......watch for it....

Lori Anderson has a great blog and I love reading it.  Today she announced her Bead Soup Blog Party which I have never joined but think it is the right time to try this out.  I am new to it, but I am sure Lori will help me out.....There are alot of rules and I am going to delve in and follow them.
